The Hill Country Herb Garden restaurant is open Thursday through Sunday with an inspired menu of healthy, wholesome, and colorful dishes, including fresh juices, smoothies, and shots with intention.
Stay Overnight in the Cottages
Lodging in Fredericksburg, Texas has never been more fun! There are 14 newly renovated cottages sprinkled throughout the property, each with a private entrance and a welcoming front porch with a swing and rocking chairs.
The cottages are modeled after Sunday Houses—small houses German immigrants built in this area for their weekly trips to the city to attend church and buy goods.
I’m a natural light junkie, so I loved how many windows the cottage had—north, south, east, and west. It was wonderfully fresh and airy inside!
A soothing spearmint freshness envelops you when you open the door; it’s fantastic! The bathroom has body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in the same lovely aroma, so you can enjoy it throughout your stay.
Each cottage has a king bed with sumptuous linens and pillows, a large bathroom with shower, flat screen tv, high-speed internet, ceiling fan, coffee maker, and fridge. A selection of wine is available for purchase in-room as well.
Every morning, a continental breakfast is delivered in a basket direct to your doorstep. It’s a fun surprise to see what will be included each day, but there is usually a protein, fresh fruit, a pastry, and a bottle of orange juice.
Find Your Zen in the Gardens
Stroll the winding gravel paths through the property with hundreds of botanical plants, many of which are Texas natives. Half of the garden focuses on native landscaping, and the other half consists of culinary and medicinal herbs.
If you’re a gardening enthusiast, tours can be arranged.
There are several outdoor spots to tuck in, relax and enjoy your natural surroundings. The lighted arbor with cedar swings is especially magical in the evenings.
Indulge Yourself at the Spa
Pamper yourself with a relaxing massage or facial at the Hill Country Herb Garden Spa. Relax your senses and melt away stress as you enjoy the aromatherapy of the Lavender-Lemongrass, Spearmint, and Tranquility products made in-house.
Take Home a Memory from the Marigold Gift Shop
If you’re as enamored with the natural herbal-based products made at Hill Country Herb Garden as I was, you’ll want to take some home. All three in-house fragrances are available in room fresheners, body wash, lotion and hair care, delightful gifts, and more.
